Onóir

Onóir is a contemporary Irish folk group formed in 2020 by Donegal musicians Tom McHugh, Declan Gaughan, Deane Connaghan, and Diarmaid McGee. They came together with the goal of creating a contemporary version of the famous Irish folk ballad “The Auld Triangle,” which gained widespread popularity when the accompanying video was viewed by over 3 million people worldwide.

The group is known for their distinctive vocal styles and exceptional musical arrangements and harmonies, which set them apart as a unique ensemble. Their performances have been met with great enthusiasm, resulting in rapid sellouts of their concert venues. Audiences are taken on a musical journey, ranging from their fresh interpretations of traditional Irish ballads to energetic renditions of modern Irish classics.
